The project comprised the demolition of seven buildings, the construction of a new performing arts centre, and planetarium, major refurbishments to three buildings and a structural upgrade and major refurbishment to an existing classroom teaching area. There was extensive landscaping which tastefully integrated the spectacular new facility into the existing school. In addition, many students were able to participate in various ways during the construction through the Student Immersion Program. This project was exceptional being awarded both a State and National Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence Award for Marshall & Brougham and their project team. Congratulations!

The project comprised the construction of multiple new learning spaces within the school, which included extensive upgrades of existing infrastructure, an extension to the existing gym with new changeroom facilities, and a spectacular new teaching facility overlooking the main oval. There was extensive landscaping and significant service upgrades including mains electricity, sewer, and water upgrades. In addition, many students were able to participate in various ways during the construction through the Student Immersion Program. This fabulous project was awarded a High Commendation in the Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence Awards. A wonderful effort.

Construction of Sports Pavilion which includes all change room facilities, storage and café area and reception spaces. This handsome facility is a multipurpose space that serves the school community well and especially its sporting program for both Walford students and visiting teams.

This project involved managing all design and approvals, heritage management and building works. The existing and almost derelict church hall was transformed into a stylish and contemporary childcare facility which included all new wet areas, kitchens and teaching spaces. External works included new decking and undercover and outdoor play areas. Substantial landscaping, new services and important stormwater drainage for both the childcare and church building was included in the upgrade.

The project comprised a major refurbishment of the Social Sciences South Building at Flinders University. Extensive and detailed demolition of existing teaching areas were complete with minimal disruption to teaching activities. All existing and very complex services were removed and replaced including electrical, air conditioning and fire services. Access was very challenging and all works were completed to the highest standards.

Classrooms

Marshall & Brougham were selected from an invited tender field to construct a new three level school boarding house, integrating heritage buildings and sensitive environmental elements of the senior school. The building was a highly complex circular design incorporating the highest quality external and internal finishes. The works required connection to the existing boarding house which was modified and refurbished.

Marshall & Brougham were awarded the gymnasium project for the Ascot park primary school, a specialist gymnastics school for the state. It was a project undertaken under the BER projects undertaken by the state and federal governments and this project has allowed the school to expand their gymnastics program to more students.
