Marshall & Brougham was engaged to provide construction and project management for a 38-room residential building that would form the highest standard of care for Eldercare Wayville’s aged residents.
“The Lodge” was a standalone two level facility comprising of new bedrooms and ensuites, with communal spaces, extensive outdoor zones, staffing and administrative facilities, a large multifunction space, new lift and link way into existing buildings.
On the successful delivery of “The Lodge” facility, Eldercare introduced a further 3 stages of work to be undertaken, including the refurbishment of the heritage listed “Whitehouse”, new air-conditioning for existing buildings and bedrooms, and refurbishment of 89 existing bedrooms.
Project and Team Leader Matthew Green successfully managed what began as a single stage project and evolved into multiple stages with fluid scheduling. Matthew and the Marshall & Brougham team incorporated a range of design changes during construction while maintaining a continuous workflow and minimal disruption to residents.
On completion, the entire facility had been revitalised, creating a world class, comfortable living space for both residents and staff.
